VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Marlins women's golfers Juliette Coffey and Mia Skaggs have been named to the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, recognizing their outstanding achievements in both the classroom and on the golf course.
The WGCA announced the 2025-26 All-American Scholar Team on July 13, honoring 1,551 women's collegiate golfers across all NCAA divisions, NAIA, and NJCAA programs. Coffey and Skaggs were among the student-athletes selected from the NCAA Division III ranks. To earn the distinction, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, remain on their team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of their institution's regularly scheduled rounds through the conference championship.
Coffey, a junior, adds another accolade to a standout season for the Marlins. The First Team All-ODAC selection paced Batten throughout the year, posting a team-best scoring average and recording multiple top-five finishes. She highlighted her season with medalist honors at the Pfeiffer Spring Invitational and became the program's first golfer to earn First Team All-ODAC recognition since 2016. Coffey also helped guide the Marlins to a fourth-place finish at the ODAC Championship.
Skaggs, also a junior, continued her strong play throughout the 2025-26 campaign and was named Third Team All-ODAC following the conference championship. She recorded several top-20 finishes during the season and played a key role in Batten's success throughout the fall and spring schedules. Alongside Coffey, she helped the Marlins produce one of the most successful seasons in program history.
The WGCA All-American Scholar honor represents one of the highest academic recognitions in collegiate golf, highlighting student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. Coffey and Skaggs' selections continue Batten University's tradition of success in the classroom while competing at a high level on the course.
