The Batten University field hockey team was selected seventh in the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Poll.

The Marlins received 23 points in the poll and head into the 2026 season with plenty of optimism as they continue to build under head coach Baylor Baxley.

In her first season leading the program, Baxley helped lay a strong foundation for the future while guiding Ava Stauch and Landry Meyers to All-ODAC honors. After gaining valuable experience throughout the 2025 campaign, Batten returns a young and developing group ready to take another step forward and make its mark in the ODAC this fall.
