Batten University moved to 0-0-1 while Kean University moved to 1-0-1 after the two sides played to a 2-2 draw Friday evening.

Mason Wakefield put Batten on the board first in the 10th minute, finishing off an assist from Mustafa Elwasila to give the Marlins a 1-0 lead.

Batten carried the lead into halftime before Kean responded in the second half. The Cougars were able to go up 2-1 in the 75th minute.

Wakefield answered in the 80th minute, scoring his second goal of the night off an assist from Cayden Tappan to even the match at 2-2.

Neither side was able to find the game-winner over the final 10 minutes, as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
