Megan Belo is entering her third year at the helm of the Women's Basketball team.
In 2025-26, Belo orchestrated one of the biggest turnarounds in program history during the 2025-26 season, leading the Marlins to a 14-12 overall record and an appearance in the ODAC Tournament for the first time since 2020-21. The 14 victories were tied for the program's most in the last 14 seasons, while the team's eight ODAC wins marked a dramatic improvement from the previous year. Batten led the ODAC in field goal percentage (.418) and set a school record by shooting 65.1 percent from the floor in a single game. Individually, Brianna Long earned First Team All-ODAC and D3hoops.com All-Region honors, becoming the program's first First Team All-ODAC and All-Region selection since the 2018-19 season.
In her first season as head coach,
Women's Basketball improved on last season’s record and improved their play, averaging 11.1 more ppg than last season and had a positive rebound margin for the first time since 2018.
Prior to joining the Marlins, Megan served as the Assistant Coach at Dickinson College. In her first year at Dickinson, the team accumulated a 17-8 record and the coaching staff earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the Centennial Conference, marking a milestone as the first in program history. During her second year with the program, Megan played an instrumental role in leading the team to a 19-win season – a feat not achieved since 2007.
Before her tenure at Dickinson College, Megan honed her coaching skills as the Assistant Coach at her alma mater, the University of Mary Washington. During her time there, she demonstrated her leadership abilities and played an integral part in shaping the team's performance and fostering a culture of excellence both on and off the court. She earned her Master's degree in Athletic Leadership from Castleton University in Vermont while serving as the graduate assistant for their women's basketball program.
