VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Athletics placed 187 student-athletes on the 2025-26 Academic All-ODAC Team, as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
The Academic All-ODAC Team recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify, student-athletes were required to earn at least a 3.25 grade-point average during the 2025-26 academic year while competing in one of the conference's 26 championship sports. The honor includes undergraduate and graduate student-athletes, as well as those who completed their eligibility after one semester while remaining in good academic standing.
Batten's 187 honorees ranked eighth among the conference's 19 member institutions, helping the ODAC recognize 3,308 student-athletes on this year's Academic All-ODAC Team. Washington and Lee led the conference with 549 honorees, followed by Shenandoah (366) and Lynchburg (356).
The recognition continues Batten's long-standing commitment to academic excellence as the department consistently produces student-athletes who embody the NCAA Division III philosophy of balancing success in the classroom with achievement in athletics. The Marlins once again demonstrated that commitment across all of the University's sponsored ODAC sports.
