The Batten University men's soccer team (0-0-3) and William Paterson (2-1-2) played to a 1-1 draw.
The Marlins struck first just over five minutes into the match when Ivan Polczynski found the back of the net at the 5:27 mark, giving Batten an early 1-0 lead. William Paterson answered less than three minutes later to tie the match at one, and neither side was able to break the deadlock the rest of the way.
Batten controlled much of the offensive pressure, finishing with a 10-6 advantage in shots and putting seven attempts on goal. The Marlins also held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Batten continued to create chances late in the second half, with Cowen Napior and JaMarhe Wills both putting shots on goal in the final six minutes. Adrian Najarro played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Marlins and finished with two saves.
